چکیده

Salinity, which is a significant abiotic stress factor, among the most important factors that limit product quality and yield. In this study investigated phenological physiological changes occurred in three different safflower varieties were exposed to KCl at concentrations of 0, 50, 100 150 mM. It was found that, based on increasing salt concentrations, decrease all parameters mM KCl. The SOD CAT activities showed increase high Balcı Dinçer varieties. APX GR parallelism varieties, they increased concentration applications Among resistant variety application Dinçer, while sensitive one Remzibey. closer terms its tolerance against stress.

The effect of rhizospheric bacteria on the physiological and biochemical characteristics of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius)

Rhizospheric bacteria are among the beneficial soil microorganisms that improve plant growth. These bacteria increase plant growth through various mechanisms such as the production of various phytohormones and the ability to solubilize phosphate. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of rhizosphere bacteria on the growth of Carthamus tinctorius to improve its physiological and bi...

effect of alkaline stress on some morphophysiologic characteristics of two varieties of safflower (carthamus tinctorius l.)

introduction safflower (carthamus tinctorius l.) is an important oilseed crop grown throughout the semiarid regions in many parts of the world. it has been cultivated for its oil and flowers and as a meal. alkaline stress is caused by alkaline salts such as na2co3 or nahco3 in the soil. alkaline stress, is widespread environmental constraint affecting crop productivity ,which can inhibit absorp...

Effect of plant growth regulators on oil yield and biodiesel production of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.)

The aim of the present investigation was to determine the effect of plant growth regulators viz., kinetin, chlorocholine chloride (CCC) and salicylic acid (SA) on achene yield and oil quality of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) cv. Thori pertaining to biodiesel production. The growth regulators were applied at 10M as foliar spray during flowering (140 days after sowing). Kinetin was highly e...

Quality evaluation of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) cultivars

Abstract Safflower is a minor oilseed crop in Australia where the market is dominated by canola, cottonseed and sunflower. Safflower however offers an alternative oilseed crop in marginal areas. This study was designed to evaluate current safflower lines and to determine their potential value both for edible oil and meal for animal feed. Two sets of samples were analysed. The first was a collec...

Effect of Salinity on Growth, Biochemical Parameters and Fatty Acid Composition in Safflower (carthamus Tinctorius L.)

The aim of the present project is to investigate the effect of salinity on growth, biochemical parameters and fatty acid composition in six varieties of safflower as well as identification of stress tolerant variety under saline (8 d Sm) condition. It was observed that salinity significantly decreased the dry weight and fresh weight of safflower varieties. Nitrate reductase (NRA) and nitrite re...
